Was there ever a place as wonderful as Chamonix? The idea of this group is to collect the best "as taken" images as well as FLICKR members version of classic images of Chamonix. Please don't post pictures of hostelries and revellers or worse still , of your derriere outside Poco Loco at 1 a..m. - I've created a seperate group for that - Chamonix Apres Ski - join up!!
Similarly, don't post generic "me doing a fakey" pics without the Aiguille de Dru or Midi in shot - keep it "Chamonix".
Some might say that as Brit, I should leave this to the French. I have some sympathy with this and welcome French language posts but maybe we should try to be biligual? If you can put your comments/descriptions/titles in both languges that would be terrific - entente cordial and all that!
