hey, i am in the process of leaving my church in valdosta georgia and moving to atlanta to work at a church in lilburn, on I-85. i am currently not there yet, and my first week will not be until the weekend of June 15th, but i want to be a part of this local lab. please email me details, joshuawsims@hotmail.com

i will be in nevada shooting a film, so i guess perhaps the next month or something for me. keep me posted, i do want to get with all of you guys at some point, i am slightly new to design and graphics, i come from moving making background, which some of the same rules apply, and most of them dont. so, i want in.

I am considering taking a position at a church in NE Atlanta. a million questions about culture shift for me, marketing there, what works and what doesn't.
similar to @joshuawsims, would not begin until mid-summer and not available for the upcoming local lab. bummer.
geek question: any chance anyone would take notes and email them to me?!!

suburban midwest. near the city, but not in the city.
words that describe our ministries here: conservative, fiscally conscious (um... tight.) contemporary, but not radical, progressive but not aggressive, current but not relevant. our community is multi-cultural, but we are not much.
i sense different expectations from the culture there.
how big will the shock be?!

you might experience some freedom in your artistic endeavors, the kicker is your potential churches vision, and where they are going as a body, and who they want to reach. you said NE Atlanta? what town? i am moving to Lilburn in June, which i guess, is NE Atlanta, just closer to the city than some other areas.

I might be able to make that happen...but seeing as that's about a 4 hour trek, I'm not sure that "later" in the afternoon is better, UNLESS, I can work in a Braves game or something that night or next day.
Or better yet, what if we shot for a Saturday gathering for lunch? Then I could catch the braves game Friday night (7:30 pm)...
My wife's been promising me a game for my birthday (back in April)...so this would be a great opportunity to make it happen AND meet some of you folks.

@Russell, I understand that. I could possibly make it on a Friday, but was just trying to keep the original (evening) time in mind, which I thought would be easier for everyone to just make it a Saturday.
Anyhow. I'm coming up regardless for the Friday night Braves Game on the 6th. I'd love to meet up for a late afternoon lunch/snack (say 2/3 oclockish) if that works.
We should also keep in mind that this IS indeed work related, so any expenses should be reimbursable. Great point, Russell.

eh, my budget committee just let me know that at this time a trip to Atlanta is not possible...
in other words, I had a needed discussion with my wife :)
