Okay so really I'm just curious if there are any other Portlanders (not from Maine) around. As far as meeting up, I'd be more proactive about it but I am so swamped with Easter I might have a breakdown if we scheduled something in the next couple weeks.

So first thing's first... is there anyone out there?!

I'm from Vancouver (WA), so sure!

That said, I might have a breakdown myself! On top of that my car is on jacks in garage so I can't in the next couple of weeks either.

Se, yes, at least I'm out here!

I'm in Eugene and would at least enjoy making some kinda-nearby connections. We have a pretty small, fairly new group (church). So count me in for discussions and if there's ever face-to-face, I'd be interested.

Perhaps we should meet in a central location then? Say Hawaii or the Bahamas?

Perfect. Although with the weather this weekend... we don't really have to go find the sun. I don't really know much about organizing this kinda thing, but I'd really be down to meet up and chat (as mentioned in my first post).

Let's talk about time-frame... This month? Next? Is Portland central enough for whoever is interested? Time/days of the week that work?

Hawaii works for me! I would love to meet up. Maybe even at a book store or Starbucks?

carrie lee grant says:

lol.. Homeastead, FL would probably negate the whole "Local Lab" part... If Hawaii doesn't work out, though...

There are only a few hundred Starbucks in the Portland-Metro area. I'm specifically in Clackamas, right across from the Clackamas Town Center. Panera? Two Starbucks? a Barnes & Noble?

Let me know!

Its one of those places where it always smells amazing, and the food sounds fantastic, and then you get it and realize a home cooked meal for about a fourth of the price would've been more satisfying. imo.

Anyone on here know of any Portland Church Communication jobs that are open?

I'm moving to Portland in June! So, that's that.
Right now in Arkansas - but don't judge me.

Starting the search for jobs at the moment, but it seems kind of early still.

Hey everyone! Just had our first local MinistryCom meeting in Portland this week. We'd love to include more communications/designers and folks involved in getting the messages out at churches.

Next meeting is Thursday, April 8, 2010, 2:30 pm, at Village Baptist Church. 330 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR (just off of Highway 26). Email kagliet "at" gmail dot com for more information.
