Let's do it!

I know there has to be more of you nerdy creative types in the area.

Hit me back if you're interested and I can get the details together.

Everyone does NOT like Morrissey, cartoon boy, and really, if you are going to get that worked up over some old emo music, then maybe Sean and his shoes aren't the woman around here.

See ya Friday. ;-)

Well, to be exact... and thanks for thinking of me also P...

MAY
Monday, 19
Friday, 23 (maybe)

JUNE
Thursday, 5

My schedule is very complicated. Hubbie is a fireman, so my schedule is as wacky as his is. All weeks vary depending on when he works and what my hours are, etc... Depending on where we meet and the time, other days might be open. If we meet mid morning I might be able to add on days. Tuesday are out because of meetings all day. And I don't work on Fridays and use that day for appts for kids, etc. AND it's toward the end of the school year for me, so I have 4 kids with open houses, plays, recitals, performances, class parties, etc. WOW... I'm tired already. If this sounds negative, it's not meant to be. It's just reality of my life and crazy schedule. I would really like to meet you guys. Thank you so much for thinking of me and I would love to make it work if we can.

If we want to meet at WACC, more days could possibly open up for me. Or something close by like below:

This place is right off the freeway.
www.thenodebookstore.com/
www.thenodebookstore.com/photos.htm
Might be a cool place to meet. Been there a couple of times now.

They have a small cafe called the Gypsy Den. I think there are other large table areas. Not positive though. This is a very artsy, fun, creative inspiring place. Been going there for years.

Never been. Cool and artsy looking. Couldn't find a website for it. Off of Harbor.

That's all I've got for now. Give some feedback. I'll keep thinking of others I know about or can find. And keep letting responsible Patrickian come in if you are driving back to SD right after. The Mom in me is going to come down on you. ; )

I've been emailing Blair Farley, Dir. of Communications at Mariner's and he is open to joining us and giving us a tour of their facilities. He is not available this Wednesday though.

He is available Next Monday or Thursday, May 5th.
Let's pick one and GO!

Coffee/lunch at their cafe, time for discussion/sharing and then a tour.

Sounds great doesn't it... WHO IS IN?

9:30am too early? Meet @ cafe? Light lunch and then a tour of Mariners.

Bring samples of your work everyone! Extra to share if you can. If not, we can just pass them around.

9:30 am? That means I have to get up at like 5am, leave my place at 6am ugh, nah I think I'll sleep in, being required to work bankers hours is one thing, waking up at 5am? man Christians are crazy hahaha

9:30! Any way to push that back a bit?

I would have to leave at 6.
Posted 49 months ago. (permalink)

view photostream

courtenay {Feet Lady} says:

Is it really that far? Google maps says it's 60 miles from the SFV and up to 2 hours in traffic. That still sucks, but it doesn't mean leaving at 6 am. More like 7:30.
Posted 49 months ago. (permalink)

The Art of P [deleted] says:

Trust me, its leaving at 6am, Traffic is always a bear in SoCal. Google maps is the fail for estimating traffic.

The best way to take that early in the morning from N. Hollywood is the 134, to the 210, to the 57, to the 5. Which will still take 2 plus hours.

I want to go, but its sooo early... Does Mariners have any job openings? I'll take a janitorial position.

courtenay {Feet Lady} says:

oooh... i'm not so excited either now (thanks alot Sean). I rarely see 7:30, much less 6 am.

The Art of P [deleted] says:

also, I drive stick, not my idea of fun, 2 plus hours in stop and go... ugh. having to be there by 11:30, now that would be much better, miss most of the traffic...

amy@wacc says:

You and Courtenay can carpool together.... oh think of the fun.

Come @ 11:30, but you might miss most of the discussion that will be earlier. But, you can have lunch with us, take a tour, exchange print work, etc...??
