About Code For America - Chicago

Code for America is a national nonprofit that partners with city governments to re-imagine the relationship between government and citizens. Code for America has 4 fellows working with the City of Chicago as well as Brigade, a program to recruit and volunteers to deploy and sustain civic technology.

From February to November 2012 we will be organizing Civic IdeaHacks every month that will bring all of Chicago's communities together to build application platforms to benefit the community by using open government data. What comes out of these IdeaHacks will be given an opportunity to come alive during one of the largest Hackathon competitions Chicago has ever seen!
