The majority of activity in this group now seems to take place on our Facebook page, due to a whole lot more people being on Facebook than Flickr.

This is an experimental flickr group to test the interest in a potential "real" camera club, based on the town of Cessnock, NSW Australia.

Although we don't impose any anally-retentive rules, the idea is that the photos submitted are either taken in Cessnock, or by photographers who live in Cessnock, or have at least some vague/remote connection with Cessnock (or surrounding areas). This guideline can be broadly adapted to any surrounding area in the Hunter Valley.

I'd like to put out a special call to any nice people with cameras who feel trapped and culturally-thwarted in this social cesspool, who would like to share images and chat to like-minded people with a geographic predisposition. This club is only new and still fairly quiet, so if you're from around these parts, help kick-start the club by joining up! If we get a few active members, maybe we could even organise a few photo outings.
