Your best shot of 2010.
Yes, it's still three years in the future, but we're visionaries, aren't we?
Please describe to us what your best shot of 2010 will look like. What will your inspiration be? How many takes will you need to reach that "perfect" shot?

That's so funny how mine is of the warm sunshine and yours up there makes me shiver! But I really like the feeling there. Looks like... geez, I'd hate to guess but Montreal, Prague or Austria somewhere.

We'd had a second snow here in Western Washington, and I had to walk to school, a mile away. On my walk back, I passed a state park, and had my camera with me. (what a surprise). I experimented with sepia, having never used it before, and this was one of the shots I got.

Even in the afternoon this is such a dark place, connecting two brightly lit shopping malls. I found it a real challenge to get a picture that captured it accurately. I found inspiration in the silhouette project of Hugo*, one of my favourite contacts.

You waited 30 minutes... That's perfectly normal for a delay between posts. Some might even call it fast. This is not a live chat room, so delays should not be interpreted as some sort of elitist snubbing. YOu just have to wait until someone who knows comes by and sees your post.

@papa351971: These discussion boards are more like the walls in a public restroom...most people check out the writing on the walls, but very few feel compelled to add comments. Usually, if you have a question, someone will see it and answer it eventually. I'm a vociferous voyeur myself, but this is a new state of being for me. At least this is cleaner than a public restroom. ^_^

So far I like this shot the best this year. Taken at a Birthday Party for Kimani and Jahari the African Lions at the San Francisco Zoo but Tunya the father who lives with Kimani stole all the gifts from her and this shot shows how happy he is to get the prize.
