Yup, most handy that is since I have just gone through a group culling. :o)

Just curious, but for what reasons would one want to delete all their photos from a pool?

Maybe you were mad at the pool admins: "I´m leaving and you wont see my photos here again!"

Or maybe, you can't be bothered with a group any more coz it's lost its meaning to you and it makes sense to not keep your photos in there any more. If for nothing else, it makes the group pool more manageable to not have photos in there that belong to people who aren't even part of the group.

Not to disagree with the sentiment but its very common to be in a group without being part of it. Groups on flickr are often simply a repository of similar themed photos. If everyone removed their pictures from groups that they choose not to have on their list of groups (i.e. "leave" the group) then a lot of these repositories would seriously be depleted.
Perhaps though this option may increase more thought about tags used. Or not.

There was actually a small mistake there. The box was supposed to be UNchecked by default, and now that is the case.

Thanks Stewart, I prefer that default.

@monaxle, disagree all you like, that's what discussions are all about. :o) I was merely stating my opinion on why I chose to remove my pics when I left the group.
In my view, groups are used in entirely the wrong way, and yes I am guilty of misusing them as well. Maybe if your average group wasn't spilling over with "dumped" pics and people were actually able to peruse a group without being overwhelmed we might actually get to see some good shots.
Just my thoughts on the matter. But yes, its probs best that the box is unchecked by default since it seems so many people will leave their photos behind when they quit a group, each to their own.

I'm all for it - I was in the process of trimming the number of groups I was in and found it annoying to have to manually delete each picture I posted in the group. This feature will makes things much easier - thank you flickr admins!
