Hi,

Hello everyone! I'm James and I love looking at photos just as much as I do taking them. I am an OTR truck driver that uses photography as a "break" from the everyday stresses of dealing with traffic and whatnot. Currently I use a Canon Powershot G11 self teaching myself how to use all of its features and manual settings. I figure if I can get those as close to perfected as possible then I will move up into a DSLR.

Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new to Flickr and still feeling my way around.
I have been taking photos for almost 10 years now and really love the hobby. I'm an engineer by profession so I enjoy the chance to create something beautiful. Hello Flickr Central.
My phototography is very basic, and I use a very simple Canon Ixus compact; I just point and shoot with very little (often no) editing afterwards. I like the fact that I can get some very interesting, very honest shots this way.
I live in London - which probably explains why I take so many photos of trees and stuff! I also photograph a lot of architecture (particularly London landmarks), and have a fascination for signs, graffiti and street art.
All welcome at my photostream....
This pic was taken in a lovely quiet corner of the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, London. I like the light.

Photography and all other kind of art's a hobby right now in high school, but I really want it to become a profession. I know that's so hard, but I don't know what else I would do with my life, and I'd rather be a starving artist with beautiful works than some unhappy person studying something I hate.
I'm not sure what my style or favorite subject is... I'm always doing marco photography, and I like playing with colors, and painting with light, and people pictures. Also, half of the time I use film, which I've been hooked on ever since I took the Photo 1 class two years ago...

Hello everyone, I'm Steven from Cincinnati, Ohio I just made my flickr account this week so I'm pretty new to this. I haven't even got to upload all my photos yet. I've been obsessing with photography for quiet awhile now by that I mean studying books. I don't get to shoot as much as I would like cause of college and work. Why hello there.
I have known about flickr for a while now because I used to have another account a few years ago. Then I lost interest in photography and decided to get rid of the account. Now I'm fully focused on photography again and I spend every minute with it possible. I upload 5 photos every Sunday so it's easy to keep up with me as I upload new photos! :)
Recently I've been trying to get into horror photography with portraits. I have a new one that I'm so excited about! Can't wait to upload it!

Hi my name is Liam, I never owned a camera until 3 months ago when I bought a second hand kodak Z740 easy share 5mp camera. Since then I have been exploring all fields of photography such as landscape, floral, architechture etc and haven't been able to stop since. Saving up at the moment to make the transition to a DSLR but have been suprised at the shots I have achieved with my current camera. Hi! I'm Billy, i'm 25 and I work in insurance. I think about photography a lot.... I wish i could take photos and get paid for it, but who doesn't right?

Hi there!
I started this account way back 2006. Uploaded a few photos using relatives and friends' cameras. But the interest in doing a sort of photo blog or diary just died. It was only year 2010 that this interest in photography got back when I bought my first camera. I bought one to cover my son's first birthday. My interest grew larger each day since then. I would read photography blogs and reviews, admire great photos and find out how it was shot, ask around for photography tips and techniques, even visit Ebay to learn how lens prices go up and down, etc.
Then I bought a manual 50mm lens (setting aside my kit lens) and my view on photography changed drastically. Bought another prime lens, 105mm, and I knew that instant that I wanted to do portraits.

It is mostly portraits of everyday faces I encounter on the streets of Manila, and the provinces of Antipolo and Olongapo. I try to shoot landscapes, and would love to learn macros in the near future. I am not a big fan of strobist photography but I appreciate it. In fact most of my favorite photos are product of reflectors, umbrellas, flashes and bulbs.

Hi I'm Elle, I study Law at university and work part time in a wine/coffee shop.
Photography has always been a hobby, I got my HS10 about a year ago and am lucky enough to have a few "modelling" friends who I am helping put portfolios together for. I love fashion photography and also nature and close ups/macro.

i am a mother of two, all my photographs of my children get put as friends and/or family only, i would love to show my children off but due to a past person on flickr this cannot now be done as i dont want this person to have or see my photographs of my family.

Hi! I'm Thais, a 16 year old girl from Brazil.
I had an account on Flickr a while ago. I kinda got tired of it and ended up deleting it... but now I'm back and plan on staying for a long time! There are so many great photographers here, it's a great place for me to find inspiration and learn more about photography.
Taking pictures is something I've always liked, and even though for now I'm just an amateur I do plan on taking a photography course someday. After all, knowledge is never too much :)
I'd love it if you took a look at my photostream. Opinions and comments are always welcome. Here's my latest upload:

New to this group but have been using Flickr since late last year. I've really enjoyed the communications that I have with people from all over the world that have the same interest in photography. I shoot as a hobby and Flickr is a great outlet for feedback.
I use a Nikon D7000 as my primary camera but also use a Nikon S6000 point and shoot when in a hurry or limited in what I can carry.
My favorite time to shoot is before sunrise or after sunset. It's amazing what you can experience at those times of day.
I look forward to what I see in this group.
