Hello from the Big D...Detroit!

Hello, I use flickr to organise political cartoons and caricatures that i draw. I'm published regularly in a local Edinburgh (Scotland) based journal, and would really be interested in hearing from anyone who is also in the political/editorial cartoons business, and uses flickr to have an online presence.

I'm from Malaysia. Just join Flickr in May 2005. Even though there are many photo websites around, I like Flickr most.It's a great place to learn, to make friends and to share.After I had joined Flickr, I never look back.I,m a novice in photography and the encouraging comments from Flickrites did help in my photographic experiments. I love macro shots as they reveal the unnoticed beauty, though I have yet to get a macro lens.Since Flickr is such a big community, chances are, photos of some newbies like mine are not noticed at all.Here's one of mine.

My name is Julie. I dwell in the thriving metropolis of Indianapolis. I originally bought my camera for a 6 month sailing trip with my father; however we have now decided against it due to several factors. Hi,
i am relatively new to Flickr and am enjoying it a great deal. what an amazing database of photographers and their work. wow.
i'm an oilfield worker who stumbled upon a Nikon FG and has developed an express interest in photography and film development(though I have yet to try developing my film).
i would, of course, greatly appreciate it if anybody would look over my photos and let me know what I'm doing wrong, haha.

I'm new also. My son, who is a photographer, showed me this site and how to get on. Now I've uploaded some of my photos and feel very intimidated by all that is out there. I am a writer and began taking my own photos rather than using standard offerings. I am impressed with all the beauty out there that we all see in day to day living.

Hello all! I'm Nicole, and I'm a new Flickrholic. Don't recall how I found it, but I'll never be the same ;) I use an ailing Kodac Easyshare DX4530 (the flash doesn't really work anymore) and hope to one day be able to justify purchasing a digital SLR. Right now I do lots of landscapes and closeup plant & critter shots, but I want to stretch my boundaries a little with protraiture and people. Wish me luck!

Hello...
to add a photo you open up the photo you want to add, then select the little icon above it that says All Size. It will list out a couple of sizes to view the photo and you will probably want to select small. Under the photo is 2 listings that look like links. You would probably want to select the bottom one, and copy & past it into your 'Reply to this topic
There might be another way, but that's what I know...then again, I'm still new too

It's a great place to see so many great places.
My hometown is a very old city with many harbours (pleasure). The city is surrounded by rivers. Hope you will enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy yours.
