About Camera Club of Cincinnati

The Camera Club of Cincinnati was founded in January of 1884, making it the third-oldest camera club in the country. The club was originally part of the Cincinnati Society of Natural History and officially known as "The Photographic Section of the Cincinnati Society of Natural History".

Today the club and its members maintain a studio facility in Carthage on Vine St. Anyone is welcome to visit during the weekly 8PM Thursday evening meetings - topics vary, but the first and second weeks of the month are typically Print Contests and Studio Nights (an educational shoot with models and lighting experts).

See ccofc.net for directions and further details.

The purpose of our Flickr group is to be an extension of our Cincinnati-based facilities and provide a place for our members to share their latest works beyond our Thursday night gatherings. Guests are welcomed to join in the discussion, but if you enjoy what you see you're encouraged to stop by a club meeting and say hello.

The CCofC is open to all skill levels, ages (though minors must have a parent sponsor) and photographic interests - members range from novice to semi-pro, college-aged to retirees and shoot everything from landscapes to glamour. ...There's even a few folks shooting film in our ranks!

We hope you enjoy what you see and join in the conversation.
