Outline
A social documentary photographic study of photographs taken from the toilet seat.
The view from a person’s toilet is an image that normally goes for granted. Most people would never really pay much attention to what they see in front of them 3-5 times a day.
Each page will feature a photograph and a quote about that person’s view. Location and Name of photographer. There is also an option to photograph the toilet first and then the view?
The book would be set in chapter/sections by country, gender, human, animal.
It would also have a semi-humoruous, social satire feel to it although there is a serious angle to this very subject matter. People’s personal bodily movements and the space that they create (or not) to release these are something to be respected and captured. Reality, Revealing, Stale, dully composed images of toilet views from residential, corporate, public, urban, wild, beautiful, boring. Aeroplanes, Trains, Camper Vans, Tents, Sheds,
Are people proud of their views? Do they plan, think about that environment?
