About The Cat's Meow (Showcased on flickr)

A collection of the many amazing and beautiful images of cats that are showcased in flickr. These images in our group pool are ONLY those that have made it into the Explore pages or Interestingness. So many people love our cats, and these are "voted in" by a mix of the number of visitors, the number of "favorites", the notes and the comments on them. We don't pick these ~ it's that famous Magic Donkey of flickr. And maybe the sauce changes once in a while.

No limit to total number of photos you submit within guidelines, but only one per day. Archive (past) photos featured in Interestingness are welcome too. ALL images in the group pool must have been in the "Interestingness" and/or "Explore" pages for the date it was uploaded to flickr..

Inside our group topics are places you may post inside thread comments any other, non-eligible images of cats that you find fun or fascinating. Small size version only please - be kind to our fellow members on dial-up service.

If any member wishes to help our group, please consider posting a small version of a cat photo you have found in Interestingness into the monthly featured thread. To do this, copy the html code below the small version size and post it into the thread where you usually put comments.

You will do us a great favor to let the flickr member know that we've seen the photo by posting a comment like this in the comments for that photo:

Congratulations on having this cat photo in Explore/Interestingness! We have posted a small version in our July thread to feature cat photos uploaded in July, 2006 here. If you like our group, The Cat's Meow, and wish to join, you are welcome to post this image to our group pool.
