Catherine Parr is often portrayed as Henry's "Nurse" who he never really loved but admired all the same, even though she did nurse Henry in his latter years she is so much more. She prompted Henry to re-unite with Elizabeth (Anne Boleyn's daughter) and united the royal father and children to be a proper family with herself as the matriarch, she was a proud supporter of the reformed religion even sweet-talking her way out of an arrest which was founded on her religious beliefs. When Henry appointed her Queen Regent in his absence she showed the future Queen Elizabeth I (whom she had a close relationship with) how to rule successfully as a woman. She survived her royal husband only to find her love was placed upon the wrong person Thomas Seymour (the brother of the late Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII and by this connection being the Uncle of their son Edward VI) who only wanted to use her for power, she died giving birth to his child Mary Seymour admist scandal only a year after Henry VIII died.
