About Catalina, infanta of Aragon and Castilla, Queen of England This is a group dedicated to everything Katharine of Aragon. Born on December 18, 1485, Katherine was the youngest child of Isabella I of Castilla and Ferdinand of Aragon. A learned lady from the beginning Katharine would later become Queen of England to Henry VIII(1491-1547), the first of his infamous Wives. Katharine was a loved Consort and a strong Regent from 1509 to 1533. Katharine was also Mother to England's first Queen of England in her own right, Mary I(1516-1558). Katharine would be cruelly and unjustly displaced and forced to live in exile by her husband in favour of Anne Boleyn(1501-1536). Despite being stripped of her title, Katharine would continue to call herself 'Queen'. Katharine would die ever true to her beliefs in January 1536. She is remembered today as a strong, caring Queen, Woman, Wife, and Mother.	Additional Information This is a public group. View the group rules.
