About Canadian Air & Space Museum

This is a group dedicated to anyone or anything related to the Canadian Air & Space Museum (CASM), formerly known as Toronto Aerospace Museum. It is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Toronto's rich aviation heritage, and is the only museum of its kind in the city.

The CASM is located in the building where the De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. mass produced Tiger Moths, Chipmunks, Beavers, Otters, and Mosquitoes. Its legacy lives on in the form of Bombardier Aerospace, who produces Q-Series turboprop airliners and Global Express business jets nearby.

The signature exhibit is the 1:1 scale replica of the Avro CF-105 Arrow. An Avro Lancaster formerly perched on a pedestal near Exhibition Place is in the process of being restored back to its original colours.

The Wings and Wheels Heritage Festival is the museum's annual signature fundraising event. May 28-29, 2011 marked the 6th annual festival held at Downsview Airport, celebrating the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
