Casapueblo is an art museum, hotel and the painter residence.
The museum represents the work of one of the most famous Uruguayan painters whose name is Carlos Paez Vilaro. He traveled the world, experiencing different cultures and learning different techniques. He was fascinated by the island of Tahiti, which has a great influence on his work. The architecture of the museum, also created by Vilaro, is absolutely fabulous, built of adobe and rising out of the topography of the rocks in wierd formations and curves. The view from this site is breathtaking.

Casapueblo es un museo de arte, un hotel, y la residencia de un pintor. El museo expone el trabajo de uno de los más famosos pintores uruguyos, Carlos Paez Vilaró, quien ha viajado por todo el mundo conociendo diferentes culturas y aprendiendo diferentes técnicas. La isla de Tahití lo fascinó especialmente y ha tenido una gran influencia en su obra. La arquitectura del museo, también creada por Paez Vilaró, es absolutamente fabulosa. Construida en adobe, se eleva sobre la topografía rocosa del lugar en extrañas y curvilíneas formaciones. La vista desde este sitio es increíble.
