About The Face of Caregiving
Caregiving is a global problem and we want to create a global image, or more correctly a mosaic of thousands of images, of the faces of informal and family caregivers.
Caregivers are “invisible”; they are not in any database, not on any list, and they are seldom recognized for their incredible contribution. We want to end the invisibility, to put a face on caregivers, and to begin, even in this simple way, to recognize your contributions.
This “Vlog” (Video log) is open to caregivers as well as care-receivers; so please contribute your pictures along with your story. Start a new Discussion to tell your story and please take the time to "geo-locate" yourself on the map as this will help others to understand and relate to your story. You will find the process cathartic, but more importantly, your story may help another caregiver, for just knowing that others have been there, done that, and survived can make all the difference in the world.
Once we gather sufficient photos we plan to build a photo mosaic depicting the global face of caregivers. We will share it and make it available to you.
