I took a couple of Pictures of Metropolitan Police Cars (St. Louis) this morning.

Those Pictures will be forthcoming. All (okay, most) of St. Louis Metropolitan Police's patrol cars are Impalas. Those I will contribute.
I need to go a little bit of my way and snap a few cabs around St. Louis. There should be Caprices and Impalas galore.

The NYPD has a mix of Crown Vics and Impalas, but they are heavy on the Crown Vics. There are a handful of Caprices in service still, but are mainly shop units.

doesn't the nypd have toyotas aswell, i don't know how they can chase with a toyota but i guess they make it work

NYPD does not have Toyota's as patrol vehicles. Thank goodness. They have a few for parking enforcement. They do have one Nissan Altima. But like any good department, they stick with American vehicles. Lets hope it stays that way.
