09 Mar 09 - 2009 Results

The 2009 Cape Argus will be remembered as the toughest race in its history due to 40 - 60 kmph winds - the high winds results in slow times for the pro cyclists (15+ minutes more than last year) and even slower for the social riders (up to 3 hrs longer than last year). Out of the 35,000 entrants only 25,000 turned up at the start line, this was 6,000 less than average.

The over all winner was Arran Brown of Med-scheme in 2hrs 46mins 32sec.
