Photo Competition -- You help pick the final winner!

Three photos from the Canon Showcase Group pool will be selected, by the groups staff members, for the competition. In the selection process, consideration will be given to both technical and artistic attributes of the photo as summarized below:

1. Technical criteria - focus, depth of field, exposure, and absence of distracting elements

2. Artistic Criteria - composition, color, background, lighting, and originality

The three selected photos with be posted at the Canon Showcase Awards website at (Canon.podbean.com) along with a critique of each of the photos by the Canon Showcase staff. Visitors to that site will then be allowed to vote for each photo by rating them on 1-5 scale. Comments on the photos as well as interaction with the staff critiques are welcome.

The open voting session will last 7 days from when the photos are posted. At the end of the 7 days a 1st Place Award will be giving to the photo with the most votes, most played audio, and best overall rating. On that same day a new set of 3 photos will be posted and a new open voting session will commence.

E-mails will be sent out to group member announcing the weekly winners as well as the new photos for consideration.
