I have now had enough of moving new topics to the correct place on the chat thread so, reluctantly, NEW TOPICS STARTED WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE as placing a request not to start new topics in the rules and twice on the front page of the group has proved fruitless in stopping this.

This group is intended for users of the Canon S3 IS. It will attempt to give hints and tips on how to get the best from it and tutorials on how to achieve different types of photograph. I have added the S2 and the S5 to the group as I am assured by owners that the majority, if not all the tips, will transfer to the other cameras. Please let me know if they don't.
I am by no means setting myself up as some sort of all-knowing guru, as I certainly do not know everything that may come up! However, I have taken over 11,000 pictures with my S3 utilising pretty much every feature on a regular basis and feel I have come to a good understanding of how to use it well. I have often been asked how I have created the pictures on my stream and have taken time to explain the techniques used to others, so I thought I would put them down on a public group for all to see. I hope this helps.
Inevitably there will be mistakes made in the construction of this group, if you feel I have made one, do not hesitate to let me know and I will either correct it or put you right ;P
