Canis bonus' breed identification project
Education campaign using photographs to help dog professionals and amateurs unambiguously recognize each dog breed.
General idea
Submission by the internet community into a central collection with the aim of collecting as many examples as possible for each breed.
Why not just use breed books?
Breed books tend to only have one to two example pictures per breed. This does not allow the reader to form a true representation of the breed's size and possible variations.
Why not just another Flickr group for that breed?
We endeavour that all photos in this group follow criteria of breed conformation and representative value.
Notes
- Most pictures are not by Canis bonus
- The pictures are not subject to any scrutiny in terms of artistic quality. The pictures are judged in how well they help represent the breed
