About C&O Canal Midwinter Bird Survey

This group is for photos from the C&O Canal Midwinter Bird Survey. This event censuses birds along the length of the C&O Canal National Historical Park. The DC Audubon Society sponsors the survey, which draws participation from many birders and organizations across three states and the District of Columbia.

The Twelfth Annual C&O Canal Midwinter Bird Survey will be on January 23, 2010.

Anyone who participates in the count is invited to add photos to this group. Photographs of participants, birds, and scenery on or near the canal are all encouraged, as long as they are taken on the day of the count.

General photos of the C&O Canal that are unrelated to the bird survey should be added to another group, like Chesapeake and Ohio Canal or canals.
