About Canadiana.
What objects, items, and things distill the essence of Canada?
This is a place for all items that are iconically and distinctly Canadian - from a hockey puck to the world's largest hockey stick. The focus is on the things and objects that represent Canada - from the typical to the stereotypical. Whether it be a souvenir, memento, sign, foodstuff, treasured keepsake, museum piece, or sentimental chotchkie, if it screams Canada it belongs in this group. Nothing is too cheesy or too fancy to be in the group, so long as it is clearly Canadian.
Landscapes, scenery, and animals in the wild that are associated with Canada generally do not fall within the scope of this group, but if such a photo includes these elements as an incidental part of the image, there's plenty of leeway. There is plenty of room for those Canadian things that you can't always pick up or fit into your hand, like a statue of Terry Fox or a giant Easter Egg in Vegreville. As well, images of people should generally not appear in the group, unless the person in the photo is an incidental part of the image or is necessarily part of the object (i.e. a photo of a Cowichan sweater or red 2010 Olympic mittens that are being worn by a person, so long as the item is the focus of the image).
