About Canadian Parks
Share your pictures of Canadian parks and conservation areas. Post anything that caught your eye, be that a landscape, a flock of birds, a hiker on a trail or a single delicate flower.
Please, make sure all submissions contain geographic location information (geotagged). If you are not sure where exactly the picture was taken or don't want to reveal the exact location, place it at the visitor's center, parking lot or one of the park entrances.
Let's put Canadian parks on the map!
Using Google maps
Flickr maps are not very detailed, especially in rural areas. You can use Google maps instead to find the latitude and longitude of the spot where you took the shot and then use it in Flickr to tag the image.
For example, I shot a dragonfly near the railroad tracks at the Mountsberg Wild Life Center. So, I typed Mountsberg in Google maps, found the location, clicked the right mouse button to pop up the small menu and selected What's here?:

I then copied the latitude and longitude, which are the two numbers at the the top of the balloon pop-up:

, and pasted them into the Add to your map edit box in Flickr:

Sometimes Google maps may show you two things - a red pushpin and a green arrow pointing down. The pushpin will show the street address of the location, but if you click the arrow, you will see the coordinates:
