“Can You Feel My Pain?” Capturing the sense of pain through photography
Research suggests that many people affected by chronic pain could be suffering in silence and it’s time to make a change. Leading Patient Advocacy Groups and Citizen Organisations across Europe, in partnership with Pfizer, have joined forces to call for real change through the “Can You Feel My Pain?” campaign.
We are looking for inspiring photos that illustrate “what your pain is like on a good day and what your pain is like on a bad day”. What does chronic pain feel like? What does it look like? Share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences about chronic pain using photos.
Have fun, be creative and get snapping!
Examples:
On a bad day my pain……
…….makes me feel isolated, frustrated, angry, sad…
…….stops me from playing with my children, doing the housework, seeing my friends, opening a jar…
On a good day my pain…..
…….is manageable, under control, is not there…
…….lets me have more fun, walk the dog, bake a cake, go shopping…
Your image can be shot using any photographic format such as a mobile phone, Polaroid camera, digital camera or even a disposable camera. To submit your entry, simply upload your final image to this group.
You can also get involved in the “Can You Feel My Pain?” campaign by signing a petition for five key rights that we believe will help improve the quality of life of those affected by chronic pain.
