Campsie Meet?

With Spring settling in and Summer on its way we should (hopefully) be treated to some interesting, if not dry weather over the next wee while. So what better time to put a shout out to anyone who fancies a flick-meet in and around the Campsies?
Whether its a hike up the hills or a a stroll through the glens or a whistle stop tour of the area, if you fancy a shoot and a bit of banter then let yourself be known and we'll see what can be arranged.
Paul

Sorry Paul, been meaning to reply to this for days now.
I think I can answer for both myself and McMax6 that we would be up for this as well.

Ok, so enough talk and some action. I'm thinking that maybe those who are interested, and anyone else you care to invite, should put their hands up for a meet at some point later this month (June).
I personally can't do this coming weekend as i'm exhibiting/displaying my photography at the Campsie Show (pop in to the craft tent and say hi if you can make it), but i am pretty much free to make arrangements for any other time. I do have other exhibitions coming up this month, but i can work around them.
As far as locations go, i'm open to suggestions. My initial thoughts are:
1: Lennox Castle and the forest
2: The Campsies themselves (whether thats a wander along the lower slopes or across the tops)
3: Loch Ardinning (plenty of wildlife/landscape shots there)
4: Campsie Glen (if we can avoid the summer incomers - puting it politely!)
5: A tour up the crow road to fintry, then along past the Carron Res. and back down to kilsyth and back.
6: Blairskaith area (standing stones, cairns, wildlife and landscapes)
7: Meikle Bin and the Carron Res.
Some of these locations will require transport. I, unfortunately am without wheels, as some others may be, but i'm sure something camn be sorted out for petrol if folk don't mind giving lifts.
Weather permitting i sugggest a barbie/picnik, or a pint and some grub at some point too. Its up to you guys/gals. Just let me know.

Im in Milton of Campsie, and would be interested in Blairskaith.
I have transport, and have enough room for four passengers at a push. Three more comfortably, it's an astra 3 door.

by the way, wouldn't be looking for petrol money either, as its a company motor.
Just had a new baby so pretty busy at the moment! though will be there if I can. Hee Haw, eck121 also stays in Milton Of Campsie.
ps, visited the Kirky museum today, saw a few familiar pics in the photography comp.

I should be free anytime after the 21st. Would also be interested in Blairskaith, simply because I've never been there.

Location not a problem to me... perhaps meet up and decide on the location dependent on the weather... mist, light, etc.... I think there is sufficient local knowledge to decide what is best in the area on the day... what do ya think?

Me and Russell (McSnow) are from the same end of Lennoxtown, just before the start of Glen Road (just past the pond), and David's from your neck of the woods. All local.
As with David, lacation is not a problem with me. I can usually find something to shoot! Whether its somewhere pretty local or a bit further afield, i guess its up to those with wheels. As far as the weather goes too, as long as its not totally peeing down, i don't really see it as an issue. I know myself and David relish moodier weather, lol.
Hopefully more can join us, but if you can't, just give us a shout when you can. I'm out with the camera most days/nights anyway.
If anyone needs to contact me, email me at paulcookphotography@yahoo.co.uk. You can find me on MSN under that username too.

Thanks to those of you who could make it along today. It was good to catch up and put a face to those behind the cameras. Hopefully we can arrange something again at some point.
And for anyone else who couldn't make it along but fancy a wander with the cameras, just let us know.

David/Mark,
This was the Glencoe shot i was talking about earlier - having no phone battery, no key to the b+b room, and being out for hours in horizontal sleet and snow...
Unfortunately it doesn't appear in my 'stream since i dropped the pro account, but is one of my personal favourites. Please view on blac for the best effect.
