14 Apr 11 - Hi there,

If one of our group admins invited your photo into our pool, an editor may want to include it in a Camera-wiki.org article. If you click "OK," we'll assume you're fine with that (even if your photo is posted on Flickr with an "all rights reserved" license.)

And we'd love it if you'd care to log in yourself, too.

About Camera-wiki.org

Camera-wiki.org is a free online encyclopedia of cameras and photography, and is the successor to the site Camerapedia.org.

The camera-wiki.org Flickr group is happy to accept any image which may be useful in illustrating wiki articles. This generally means a clear close-up of the item against a simple background.

Beyond just photos, we'd love to receive the expertise of obscure-camera experts, wiki veterans, and nonprofit volunteers. We invite your photos, writing, editing, and other kinds of support to keep Camera-wiki growing. You can create a login to edit wiki articles, or donate to our hosting fund to help keep us alive.

Note: If your photo rights are set to "all rights reserved," please understand that submitting images to this pool grants permission for them to be used in current or future camera-wiki.org pages, without relinquishing your copyright on them. If you wish, you can select the creative commons licensing of your choice, permitting wider uses according to the terms that you set (e.g. no commercial use, attribution to you, etc.) Camera-wiki.org is dedicated to improving the clarity of photo licensing over the earlier wiki; you can read more here.

Camera-wiki.org pledges to create a fully non-commercial, advertising-free home for your work. Ultimately we wish to establish official nonprofit status to maintain the site with community funding. (Which is the model used by Wikipedia, for example.)
