I'm actually excited about this one, I hope everyone has fun and not too much loss of property results.

ohh, and invite your contacts, especially those daring folks with lots of cameras. I've invited all mine already.

A word of caution!

The group is apparently pretty convicing. I never expected anyone to throw around their 1000$ dSLR, yet several have tried it! I'm going to feel pretty horrible if something bad happens.

If you enjoy this and get into it, YOU WILL DROP YOUR CAMERA EVENTUALLY. I've tossed 300+ times now. But i've probably dropped it 7 or so, and dropped it HARD twice. It survived nicely but it's also a compact piece of shit! Heavy bodied cameras with complex lens, parts, and electronics would not have survived!

I'm extatic about the other tossers out there, but if you are interested enough to risk your dSLR, shouldn't you also be interested enough to purchase something more tossable?

With camera tossing, Lady Luck, Chance, Fate, and Physics are the primary photographer, you are simply facilitating them. And sometimes they don't just want to take pictures, they want to break things! It's simply a matter of time and probability before they do!

Let this photo ring clear in your minds before your next tossing adventure:

Lens Destoryed Camera Tossing

If you insist upon tossing equipment you cannot afford to destory, please spend a long time considering alternative catching mechanisms that reduce the risk to your equipment. See the thread Catching Tips and get brainstorming.

Thank you for considering the risks!

Wow. 100 members and climbing. I guess reckless endangerment of self and photography equipment has more appeal than I originally envisioned.

Those of you not tossing yet, feel free to post stuff the group will like in this thread.
