Good point it should be '....coming this summer/winter (depending on which half of the globe you live in) to flickr'

I don't think anyone south of the Equator has actually tried camera tossing. Wait...does the camera automatically spin in the opposite direction down there? Inquiring minds want to know. :-)
Well, this could mean we'd be required to show the "source" of the light with an untossed photo of the subject matter. Nah, that'd be too easy.

Coriolis stikes again?
Are you equating camera toss with flushing a toilet?
Oh, and we've got some members from Brazil, for instance
flickr.com/photos/lincoln_koga/2677778533/in/pool-cameratoss
and I know of at least one person in Australia who has tossed, too.

Never heard that term, thanks...just Wiki'd it. I was thinking more of water draining from a bathtub. Actually, I was (1) kidding, and/or (2) know not of what I speak, with both having a high degree of probability. ;-)

PS, I think we have a few tossers south of the equator... some in mexico I know. But for the purposes of "teasers" the language "this summer" is so much more common.

It's not intended as a recognizable thing.. just a graphical pattern... but I think the thing to note is that we are ALL using the same one. ;-)

I do like the idea. How cameras tossed by different photographers interpret the same subject matter. It's like interviewing six different witnesses at the same crime scene. Well, OK< it's not like that...but it must be like something else, no?

You will also see that it's not just how the camera tossed by different photographers interpreting the same target image can result in differing derivative images, but also how different light sources (in example, computer monitors) projecting the light from the same target image can contribute to differing results.
I can imagine there are a multitude of other parameters that will result in overall differences in the images derived from a single source, and expect that we will see some very interesting things in this experimental theme.

Not to forget the different cameras, different settings, different light conditions, .... and the personal taste which picture you choose.

I think we decided to let the threads/themes be relatively infinite. We'll put new ones up but you are always welcome to go back and contribute to previous ones too.
