About Camera/Photography Forum (NO PICTURES)
Only threads with the Brand and Model of your camera are to be opened for now. Please, respect this little basic rule. Anything you might want to discuss can be discussed in the thread pertaining to your camera.
This group is intended to be a forum for research on any kind of camera as well as a place to discuss photography, especially the pros and cons of a certain camera.
The idea is that people invite as many people as possible to this group so that s/he can write reviews of their cameras, share experience and ideas with other people who own the same camera, as well as to be a place for those who want to upgrade to a certain camera to find info on the camera they want to update to.
It should work as follows...
A member will join the group, than he or she will immediateley open a thread/topic that should be entitled with the BRAND AND MODEL OF HIS/HER CAMERA ONLY. Please, refer to any problem relating to your camera, including general problems like sensor cleaning, vignetting, moire, noise, etc, IN the respective thread for your camera, because learning from others who own the same camera you do is bound to be more useful to you.
Example:
I`ll open a thread and name it: Canon Powershot S2IS (coz that`s the camera I currently use.)
From there on, I should write a brief (or detailed) review of this camera, given as much info as possible. But one should not worry too much about that, because that is going to be the thread where ALL the other members who also own an S2 IS will go to to discuss, ask questions share their personal views on that camera. It doesn`t matter who starts the thread, but it does matter that no other thread with the same model camera be opened.
This group is eventually going to be run by its own members given that it is a place for interaction and learning, just like forums usally are.
No picture is permitted to be posted in this group, because the idea here is more of participation and sharing of experience and discussions of the cameras, like picture quality, features, and so on. You can, though, copy and paste a picture IN the thread related to the camere which took that picture in order to explain or show a point you are trying to make.. for example, if you want to show vignetting produced by a certan camera, you might want to post a picture you took with that camera where vignetting is shown to ilustrate your point.
This is supposed to be a FORUM of discussion, so participation and contribution is of utmost relevance. Let`s make this group THE reference for camera purchasing and photography tips.
Hope you all enjoy the group and invite as many people as possible so we can have most types of cameras (film or digital) available in our group.
Hope you join and enjoy!
=)
