Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, is one of the oldest and most popular Visitor Attractions in Edinburgh.

The Camera Obscura show is a fascinating and highly amusing way to see the city and learn about its history. This unique experience has delighted and intrigued people for 175 years. It is a 'must' on any visit to Edinburgh. As well as the show there is a rooftop view to die for, over the Old and New towns and far beyond. On three (soon to be four) floors below the fun and interest continues in hands on exhibitions of optical illusions and about ways of seeing. According to many of our visitors this is their favourite place in Edinburgh.

Unlike many Visitor Attractions, we actively encourage you to take photographs and videos of your experience, and we would love you to share them with us and other visitors.
