About Camera! Action! (or, Not a Still Life)
I'm dazzled by those moments which contain that most primary of all entertainments: action.
It's the captured moment that counts here - I mean, isn't there something bewitching about a photo which continues to twitch, flickering in a continuous loop as you observe it!?
Let's go for those shots which manage to convey a sense of movement, whether jerky, sudden, carefree or determined (and everything in between). It's a "still" in the traditional sense, but you have frozen in time the turn or jump or shocked reaction - and it lives on, with all it's primordial energy.
NOTE: Please consider carefully if your shot really has a sense of movement. As photography is the art of capturing life on film, it's true that all shots could qualify as "captured action" - but wait! Check your shot to see if it really gives us ACTION. Portraits, stills and the like should not be posted, unless of course they meet these criteria.
I'm interested in learning more about this aspect of photography...for many reasons - and I would love to see how other photographers - from professional to just plain passionate - have grabbed those energetic, sudden, demonstrative, even subtle moments. Show us what you've got!
Enjoy the topic and post to your heart's content.
