About Honorary Squares of Cambridge, Mass.
Cambridge is home to dozens of honorary squares marked by signs erected to honor veterans, nuns, doctors, activists, firemen, and any other citizens deemed worthy of the honor. This group will collect photos of the squares, corners, and intersections designated by the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts, to honor its citizens over the years.
I documented nearly 100 of these squares between February and June of 2005, when I left Cambridge. I haven't cataloged any new signs in a few years, so I welcome photos of new squares, and other photos of squares as they've changed over the years.
