Just got back from 2 weeks in Cambodia and I can honestly say it was such an amazing experience! The friendly people, beautiful beaches, stunning buildings, mental traffic through Phnom Penh, Lok Lak beef, Howies Bar, the Angkor Temples.
So have a look through my pictures and if you see anything suitable let me know!

I had an amazing time in Kampuchia over Christmas. I am still telling everyone what a great place it is. I will return oneday I am sure.

Just got back from Cambodia. Visited Seam Reab and Phnom Penh. Really like it there, esp Seam Reab.. I can't imagine I'm gonna drive in Phnom Penh.
The people are friendly. The food is fantastic. The hospitality is great. Somehow, I will know I will come back to spend months there.
I'm sorting out my pictures now, but I did uploaded some. Please use it if there any help or relevant to put in your next publication.

Wow, thanks for all the offers, am looking through now.
If anyone is visiting Cambodia soon, you can find a copy of the guidebook CD at the Jungle bar on the riverside in Phnom Penh.
This is an ongoing project that will continue to expand until Cambodia is completely covered.
Currently on the CD are:
-several hundred good photos of various places. I'm in the process of compiling galleries for all major towns and tourist destinations, which will be hotlinked in to the map series.
-a full series of US military maps of Cambodia in high quality printable .jpg format covering the whole country and the border areas of Thailand, Vietnam and Laos
-hotlinks from the maps to GPS co-ordinates of 43 ancient temples (not in the Angkor Wat complex) each with its own individual photogallery.
-an indexed towns list
Jeff sells the CDs for $2, all proceeds to charity.

See Jeff at the Jungle on the riverside for the CD. If you'd like to visit any of the temples shown on the CD, then see Jim at the Cal2 (further south on the riverside) for travel advice and more help than you could possibly imagine about finding temples and traveling around rural Cambodia.

I was given 2 modern roadmaps of Cambodia a day or two ago, they will be added to the CD and released around the time of the Khmer New Year.
One is a Cambodian government issue, mostly 1:500,000 scale made in 2000/2001 and showing the country province by province, and one is a Japanese/Cambodian collaboration made in 1997, 1:100,000 scale (very detailed).

I've been to most of the temples in and around Angkor and Siam Reap. I going to try and see the very remote Banteay Chhmar and the old capitals of Lovek and Udoung this time around. Thanks for the recommondation on where to find a good guide and advice, but I've got two great guides already. I've used them since my first visit to Cambodia, my wife's brother and her uncle. They know their way around the country. :-)

Hi, I visited Cambodia for the first time two years ago after immigrating to the States in 1981. I got the chance to visit some of my distant family members in one ghetto part of Phnom Penh which no tour guide will ever take you. Please have a look. You mind find some useful photos.
I'm returning to Cambodia this July and will be travelling with my parents who have decided to live part of the year in Cambodia. We'll be roaming the country for 2.5 weeks where a typical tour package will not include.

Travel advice, where to go, where to stay, where to eat, where to catch the bus, what to do and where to do it, etc. etc.
Anything you like about anything you like, good or bad, what did you find and where did you find it?
For publishers access to the CD preview blog, let me have your email address in Flickr mail, and I'll send you access by return. (You will need to have a gmail or blogger account already) and you can publish directly to the blog.
ps. I need to keep editorial control of the photos as they take up a lot of space on the CD, but anything else goes!

Hi, I went to Cambodia last year and have some nice pics (imho), including some nice Angkor Wat sillhouette pics at sunrise. Please fee free to check out my photostream, type 'cambodia' into a search as all of them are tagged, i'd be happy to contribute.
As for things to include, make sure you mention Friends academy and restaurant in Phnom Penh - the work they do there is incredible, and the food was one of the best meals I had in the whole 2 months I spent in Asia!

As promised, the CambodiaMaps ebook is now available online as a free download.
It's a 560mb file and is in an .exe format.
