Memorial for Coco

Aurgust 13th 2004 we got Coco on my birthday! He was a cute lil kitten, black and fluffy, really cute and friendly. In the mornings he'd jump on my bed and lick my nose so i'd get up!When he was older he often went out and had two female friends a torti Trixie and Holly a lil black cat! A few nights ago he didnt come home but i didnt give up calling i cared to much! Eventually he came in but he was really drained. For two days he slept solid so we decided to take him to the vets they said he had been posioned by antifreeze. Someone had spilt antifreeze and Coco had stepped in it. He had a 50/50 chance to live or die. The next few days were hell for coco and us, i cried 4 ages and Coco was looking worse everyday. Eventually he had a heart attack in mums arms. That was the saddest day of my life. I loved that cat and he was only two years old he was too young to die. Please everyone who reads this be careful. Coco will always remain in my heart and i want him to be remembered for ever! Luv Coco for ever! HBKittycatXXX

oh that is heartbreaking news . This is a danger of which pet owners need to be aware definitely.
We knew of one dog and suspicions of a cat having been deliberately poisoned with Anti-freeze mixture.
I am so sorry for your loss indeed. You did all that you could under the circumstances.

Oh that is such awful news - you must be devastated. I have also lost a young, much loved cat to 'mouse' poison that people use freely and she bled internally screaming in pain until the vet put her to sleep.
The only tiny consolation for you is that she managed to get home and spend her last couple of days with you loving her. I'm so sorry for you and Coco - the world is a dangerous place for our beloved pets.

@ Feline fancier, I read of your loss of that kitten when I visited your photos . SO sad and totally disgusting . What a horrible way to die and you must have been so heartbroken .
You must have had concerns in case the others also encountered the same situation , although you did say that this cat preferred to eat mouse ...(and cod ?????? excuse my memory ) but the others have different tastes in food.
I am constantly on alert for my 2 torties , even though they are indoor cats (out only beside us) there are many household items which can cause grief too...
again , my sympathy to you both HBKittyCat & felinefancier

I am so sorry for your loss, we lost our wee tortie Fudge just a fortnight ago through a car accident. I was devastated. I entirely feel your pain.
