Stories — in pictures and words — have always been the currency of advertising.

In the past, our business was the telling of stories.

Now, it is the sharing of stories that will define our successes.

This group is an online campfire in TBWA’s “global village” where you — and others in offices throughout TBWA\Worldwide — can share the stories, smart ideas, and creative projects that make every TBWA office an exciting place to work.

How to participate

Participants must be current TBWA employees.

Artwork must be created on paper in a Moleskine notebook.

The work must honor the trace of the hand in drawing, painting, doodle, script (writing), monotype, or collage.

Please scan the pages of your Moleskine which contain your artwork. Save the scans in JPEG format.

Scans should be accurate reproductions of the work on the page; and faithful to the spirit of the project, which honors the trace of the hand. In other words, no Photoshopping!

In the caption, be sure to include the name of the artist, and the name and location of the TBWA office from which it comes, as well as any description or anecdote which clarifies its meaning.

Why is it called Cahiers du TBWA?

The name is an homage to Cahiers du Cinéma, the French journal from which Eric Rohmer, Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol, and François Truffaut, among others, sketched what would become the French New Wave — the first great media disruption of the twentieth century.
