Semperoper at Night, Dresden, Germany
|

I took this while recently on vacation in Germany, and while I think it came out pretty well, I don't feel it's quite there yet. Any suggestions on what I could do?

I like it. It almos gives me a pensive feeling. Like the evening is coming on fast but not quite here yet and whatever big important deal that is happening inside causing all these people to wait is about to open up. I picture it as a play wih actors walking about peeking through the curtain waiting for people to be seated inside. Anyhow, that's what I see!
I like the stars from the foreground lights, but the ones on the building are a little too sharp for my tastes... a little distracting I suppose. I really enjoy the motion on the people... it adds a lot to the picture in my opinion. Finally, the building as a whole has great depth to it! nice job I say. I can't reall think of anything to change but those lights.

Yeah, I had the same feeling on the building lights--I'm not sure how exactly I'd go about removing them though...any suggestions? I guess maybe I could use the clone stamp in PS, but I'm not sure how well that would work.

It is exceptional, and I would barely change even the background lights. I know they are a litte too starry, but then it would seem too muted if they don't show brightly. If you do lessen their intensity, don't go too far with it. Everything else is beautiful.
