About Caerphilly

This group is for people to post their pictures of Caerphilly (Caerffili), South Wales, the town itself is situated in a basin, and surrounded by mountains on all sides.

Caerphilly has a Castle, the 2nd largest in Europe dating back to the 13th Cent. which was built over the remains of a Roman Fort.

Caerphilly is also famous for its rather salty cheese.

The comedian Tommy Cooper was born in the Energlyn area of the town, where he lived til he was 5, before he moved to live in Exeter.
