About Black & White Long Exposures

Welcome to the Black & White Long Exposure Group.

This group has been set up to showcase images created with long exposures in the Black & White medium. The images can be 'Silver' based or digital. Long exposure for the purpose of this group is anything greater than 10 seconds, although in reality I will not reject images because they are only 9 seconds. It is a guide only.

Black & White is defined as just that (with the possible exception of shades of grey!!!) No toned or colour images please.

Please feel free to post your creative masterpieces for all to enjoy. This ethos behind this group is one of sharing knowledge and inspiring others; as such we have very few rules - photography is an art form not a sport!!!

These rules are:

1. Black & White images only - No duo tones please

2. Long exposures - Greater than 10 seconds

3. No rude comments or destructive criticisms - be nice. We are here to inspire and help, not compete or deter

4. Maximum of 5 images per day

That's it. Please join, post images to and partake in discussions within this group. Ultimately, it is the Flickr community which will determine this groups success.
