01 Mar 11 - Welcome to the B&W portraits pool. I hope to make this a high quality depository of B&W portraiture that goes beyond snap shots where things like composition, lighting, patterns, etc are actually taken into consideration when you pushed the shutter.
I will be very critical of what I let into the pool from now on. READ THE RULES BELOW BEFORE POSTING/JOINING GROUP PLEASE!
About Portraits (B&W only) **READ RULES**
There seem to be few groups dedicated to only B&W portraits. So I created one.
Please feel free to submit your B&W portraits of people.
Though there are always exceptions, please limit your uploads to photos that are of thought out, even planned, portraits.
NO snapshots = ban!
NO street candids = ban!
NO concert shots = ban!
They WILL be removed if you do. And if you do it enough, I will BAN you and probably say some shitty things about you on your images for not respecting me enough to read these rules.
Please note that the photos will be moderated heavily and may be removed with no explanation. Don't take it personally, I'm trying to keep the size of this group under control and it's only me and one other Mod.
RE-UPLOADING the same image repeatedly will get you banned and mocked/ridiculed, so don't waste my time please.
We also want to keep the quality as high as possible (of course, according to OUR tastes!)
