About Butterfly Gallery P1 C1

This Gallery is for photographs of Lepidoptera; Butterflies and Moths.

We expect all our group members to respect the environment when taking photographs and to take every care about not damaging the habitat and not damaging the insects themselves.

We accept that netting may be necessary for the ID of certain species and we accept that the killing and pinning of species may be necessary for scientific purposes. However we don't want to see photographs of pinned specimens here.

We definitely do not condone putting specimens in the freezer to be photographed in the studio. Neither do we condone spraying specimens with water for effect.

What we want in the group is photographs of butterflies in the wild or in butterfly houses

Please comment another photo when you post. One for one.

When you comment on a photo on the group add the following lines after it so that people know where it's being seen:

The Flickr Butterfly/Moth/DragonfyGallery Calendars are now available.

The calendars have NO holidays marked. This is because I'd have to make a different version for every country otherwise. Lulu is not smart enough to add your choice of country/language/holdays on check-out.
