About Up Close and Personal - Butterfly Close-Ups!

This is a simple group. It's for close-up shots (and ONLY close-up shots) of butterflies. There will be nothing approved that is not completely "family-friendly" and safe enough for the smallest child to view.



If you agree to a few simple rules, please join us and show us your beautiful fluttery friends. We'd love to have you AND them!!

RULES

1. As stated, ONLY family-friendly photos. This means no "mating' butterflies. There are other places for those photos.

2. No DEAD or INJURED butterflies. This does NOT include tattered wings, etc. If they're able to fly and nectar, etc., they're fine. An EXCEPTION will be in the case of a part of a wing on a living butterfly. That WILL be approved and welcomed . . . . they are lovely to look at!

3. No limits and no commenting requirements; however, please remember how good it feels to have your work appreciated, and comment where you feel so inclined!! I would suggest that you post no more than five or six photos in a row, but that's not a hard and fast rule for now. Please don't dump and run!!

4. All photos will go into a queue before appearing in the group pool. I usually check the "pending" photos several times a day, but there may be occasional delays if I'm traveling etc. Anything NOT approved will be removed from the queue without further notice. If you disagree with a decision I make, PLEASE send me a FLICKRMAIL requesting a review of the decision.

5. NO PHOTOSHOPPING or extreme EDITING. I will not accept photos that are heavily edited . . . no purple Monarchs, for instance. There are other groups for that particular type of art.
