About Butterflies of Nepal

This is a group that we started to make a collection of photographs of different species of butterflies found in Nepal.

Some very simple rules for posting to this group:

It has to be a close-up picture of a butterfly, at least 30% of the frame should be occupied by the butterfly. No moths please

The butterfly has to be identified and its English name should be mentioned either in the title or the description of the picture. If you have the Latin name please include that as well.

If you don't know the ID of the butterfly please post a small size picture in this discussion thread:

Please add brief description of habitat, month the picture was taken and location whenever you can; in the picture description. If you can add an approximate altitude of the location that would be absolutely wonderful.

If you have taken the picture outside of Nepal please make sure that the species is found in Nepal.
