About The Art Pirates of Burning Man 2008

These are the photographic journeys of six virgin Burners into the beautiful, chaotic, creative, dust-ridden streets of Black Rock City and the deep playa. Lovingly self-dubbed "The Art Pirates" during our trip, the six of us have pooled together our photos for sharing amongst the group, exhibition, uploading, downloading, and discussions of our experience. Feel free to puruse and smirk, gasp, comment, mock, cry, or express, but please remember that these photos and their respective viewing/sharing rights belong to each individual pirate photographer.

4 dudes, 2 ladies, a van, sans back window, a bio-dome, an art installation, and 12 days of 2008 together at Burning Man.

"American Dream," 2008
Location @ 8:15 and Corvair
Black Rock City, Dusty Desert, Nevada

Our collaboratively designed art installation:
"Permanent Transient Beings"
Location @ 12:45 and 3700' from the Man, just south of the Babylon Tower

Approx 300'-wide field of 45 flags carrying over 1200 sq. yards of white fabric billowing in the wind, each attached with a sharpie marker for the six pirates and fellow burners to express and imprint themselves within the unavoidable forces of our environment.
