About Bungalow USA
Welcome to Bungalow USA, the first and largest bungalow group on Flickr!
The bungalow is a house that was popular in the United States between ca. 1880 and 1935, and corresponded to the approximate time period of the Arts and Crafts period in the US. Many bungalow styles exist, including Craftsman, Prairie, Swiss Chalet, English Tudor, Spanish Colonial, Spanish Mission Revival, and Colonial Revival.
Bungalows often, but not always, exhibit certain interior and exterior features, such as a front porch, rooms that flow into one another, small kitchen, low ceilings, built ins, fireplaces, box-beamed ceilings, and an abundance of woodwork. While most bungalows are either one story or a story and a half, larger bungalows do exist. Some bungalows, most of which are in the Pasedena California area and designed by the architects Greene and Greene, are massive in size and termed "ultimate bungalows."
You may post a maximum of 10 photos per day of your bungalow, exterior, interior, special features, furniture, etc. Please tag all photos with "BungalowUSA."
