About Build Me Up"Some people won't be happy until they've pushed you to the ground. What you have to do is have the courage to stand your ground and not give them the time of day. Hold on to your power and never give it away."       Cyber bullying is bullying through email, instant messaging, chat room exchanges, web site posts, or digital messages or images send to a cellular phone. Cyber bullying involves an imbalance of power, aggression, and a negative action that is often repeated. I know your probably thinking, oh lord do I really have to read all of this? I`ve heard it all before...too many people think an issue like cyber bullying seems unrealistic, and stupid because they think it never happens, and that people make it seem worse than it actually is.. Well, like everything, everything is "stupid" or "unrealistic" until it actually happens to them. Lets think, have you every been cyber bullied? We`re not talking HUGE but how about something online? called a name? saw a text about you from someone else? saw rude comments on your pictures saying how you s h o u l d look? And how about this. Have you ever been a -cyber bully- ? have you ever sent a horrible text about someone? Have you ever wrote something online about someone else? Well, stop. You do NOT realize what you are doing. You need to be responsible for the consequences of your actions. There are people that are so alone, nobody to talk to. They hide from everyone and everything, have things locked up inside them that are killing them deeply. Thats why we have created this group. "Build Me Up" is a group created to inspire those in need, and to help those who have been bullied online. If y o u have been a victim of cyber bullying, we're here for you. Please don't be afraid to flickrmail us! When you are being bullied, the last thing you want to do is keep your emotions trapped inside. Talk to someone! We're here for you and will try to give the best advice possible(: Our goal here is to allow people to enter their own photos. Photos that make them feel happy, proud, or something that they feel expresses them! Photos that others can look at with a smile, photos with words that are inspiring, photos that tell a story. Whatever you may choose to do, is up to you. Do what YOU feel will build someone up. When you click "join", that means you want to help. It means you think more about others than yourself. If you don`t, it does NOT mean the opposite! everyone is intended to their own opinions and if you choose not to be a part of this that is NO problem what so ever! Thank you all for your support, your invites, your comments, your photos, and for wanting to help the cause. One photo at a time, one picture at a time, and we will hopefully have helped everyone that we can! Thank you!
