Update July 2006:

Over the last years this group grew to become a serene stream of Buddha images.
Some people even use it for contemplation.
Although we acknowledge that wrathful deities are Buddhas we ask you to value the "mood" of this photostream and seriously consider whether your image fits in.

Further Update - June 5 2008

Ok kids , it seems like I am the only active admin left in the group.

from now on , they'll be a slight change in editorial policy: the pool will accept only images that i consider to evoke or describe the enlightened state.
so, its a lot more open than just considering images of Sakyamuni or Avalokiteshwara for example...

..however also, the group will be moderated far more closely, on a subjective basis. so i will be editing out any pics that i think don't pertain or ascribe to the depiction of the enlightened state and its attributes.

i would like this pool to be all about the motivation...not just people dumping holiday snaps of buddha statues, (although of course, that may be ok too) but more towards a collection of images that have been taken and posted with the awareness and motivation of cultivating the awakened state, in all beings, for all beings.

..debate about the suitability of images is always encouraged on the group postings, or if you wish feel free to contact me directly

..i would really like for this to develop into a living group with the emphasis on people trying to develop themselves and their potential through visual media...in buddhism, like so many other spiritual traditions there is a long history of the use of images and art ....so my dream is for members to engage more fully with the images , whether they are viewing or posting, rather than just a bunch of voyeurs seeking spiritual eye candy...future emphasis of the group will therefore be on (((my perceptions of )))quality not just quantity..
