About BtG - Bart the Gaul - Learning Photography Together

Welcome :-)

My photo blog - photo.bart-the-gaul.com - is intended to be a resource to help you (and me) to learn how to improve our photography. This is the Flickr group associated with that blog.

There are two main uses for photo posts here:
1) Posting photos in response to "assignments" that I will set from time to time, and
2) Posting your photos to give others the benefit of your own learning / experience.

When you post photos, please note the following:
1) All photos (and comments) should be work and family save. See photo.bart-the-gaul.com/2007/01/comment-guidelines.html for more detail on this.

2) Please (as far as possible) include the following in the description (based on "OPEL"):
a) OBJECTIVES - What were you trying to achieve with the photo? What was it going to be used for?
b) PLANNING - What planning steps did you go through? Did you choose particular techniques in order to meet your objectives for the photo?
c) EXECUTION - When you came to actually shoot the photo, did things go as planned? How did you actually carry out the shoot? - Please give as much detail here so that people who are trying to learn new techniques can understand the "how to" part. Feel free to post shots of the set up, etc. to help explain. (Note this part is to help people with the "SADI" aspect of their learning.)
d) LEARNING - What do you like / not like about the result? What would you do differently next time?

For more detail of what I am on about when I talk of "OPEL" and "SADI", please refer to "Module 1": http://photo.bart-the-gaul.com/2007/03/module-1-introduction.html.

Thanks for your participation, and I hope that I can be in some small way instrumental in helping you grow your photographic skills.

Good luck, and HAVE FUN!
